Reflective fashion - Loistavaa by Laura Juslin

Even though the darkest day of the year is behind us, the days up in the North are still gloomy. In Finland pedestrians must according the law use a reflector to ensure their own safety when using roads, yet only a few wear them as reflectors are often regarded plain ugly (especially by teens). I must admit, the selection of reflectors was poor a decade ago, but since that reflectors have been designed in cooperation with Finnish top designers, the situation has gotten a lot better from those days.

Now Finnish designer Laura Juslin has designed a collection of reflective garments and accessories in a collaboration with the insurance company IF. She has managed to prove the Finnish folk that it is indeed possible to wear a reflector and look chic at the same time! My personal favorite is the reflective beanie pictured above - which one do you like the best?

The collection is available online and can be found from certain stores in Helsinki.
